Zirconium crowns
How is a zirconium crown installed?
We start by assessing the condition of the tooth – is it weak due to previous root canal treatment, broken, or eroded?
After the evaluation, the tooth is prepared (simple filing) to provide sufficient space for the crown.
After preparation, we take measurements with an intraoral scanner, which provides digital measurements with high accuracy and greater comfort for the patient. These measurements are sent to the laboratory to manufacture the zirconium crown.
When the crown is ready, we conduct a trial in the clinic to confirm the size, shape, color, and bite. If everything is in accordance with what is required, the crown is permanently cemented.
Cases that need zirconium crowns
Zirconium crowns are suitable for the following cases:
- Teeth that are severely damaged by decay and cannot be restored with a regular filling
- Teeth that have undergone root canal treatment and need Protection
- Cracked or worn teeth
- Teeth that have an unaesthetic appearance and require complete coverage
Crowns are also installed over implants as part of the implant treatment plan.

Advantages and results
Zirconium is one of the strongest materials used in implants, and it withstands the pressure of chewing excellently. Its appearance is very close to natural teeth, is biocompatible with the gums and does not cause irritation, and is also resistant to staining and abrasion.
The use of a scanner ensures high accuracy in measurements, and this is directly reflected in the quality of the composition. The end result is a tooth that looks and functions exactly like a natural tooth.
Procedure Steps
Step One: Examination and Evaluation - We examine the tooth and determine whether it needs a crown.
Step Two: Prepare the tooth - We do a simple preparation to make room for the crown.
Step Three: Digital Measurements - We take measurements with a scanner (Intraoral Scanner) for high accuracy and greater comfort.
The fourth step: Installing a temporary crown - We install a temporary crown to protect the tooth during the period of manufacturing the final crown.
The fifth step: Trial and delivery - We try the final crown and confirm the size, shape, color and bite, then we install it permanently.
